Complaints & Removal Policy

Version 1.0 · Effective date: 18/08/2026

Replaces the 24h-acknowledgment / 7-business-day single-clock policy

Changelog: per-type clocks, four dedicated intake routes, pending-status rules, appeals

1. How to report

Pick the route that matches your complaint. Each has its own form and its own clock. You never need an account or a fee to report content.

  • Non-consensual intimate content — intimate images or videos of you (or someone you represent) shared without consent, including AI-generated and "deepfake" content. → Report non-consensual content (no account, no fee, 48-hour lane)
  • Copyright — your work is being sold or shared without permission. → DMCA takedown
  • Likeness, publicity & impersonation — your face, name or identity is being used without permission in ways that are not intimate content. → Report likeness misuse
  • Everything else — any other complaint about content, an account or the service. → General complaint form

Content involving minors: if you believe content involves anyone under 18, use the non-consensual content route and say so. These reports receive absolute priority, are acted on immediately, and are reported to the competent authorities (Content & Acceptable Use Policy §3.1/§8).

2. Response times

Complaint typeAcknowledgedResolved
Content involving minorsimmediate priorityimmediate action + authority reporting, no waiting period
Non-consensual intimate contentwithin 24 hoursremoved within 48 hours; immediately where the depicted person's consent cannot be established, incl. reasonable efforts to remove known copies
Copyright (DMCA)within 24 hoursexpeditious removal on a valid notice; counter-notice and restoration timelines on the DMCA page
Likeness / impersonationwithin 24 hourswithin 5 business days
All other complaintswithin 24 hourswithin 5 business days

These are the clocks we hold ourselves to under normal circumstances; complex cases are flagged to the reporter with a revised estimate before the clock expires.

3. What happens while your complaint is pending

  • Non-consensual intimate content: the content is disabled immediately upon a credible report while we assess; where consent cannot be established, it does not return.
  • Copyright: content is disabled on receipt of a valid DMCA notice; it may be restored through the counter-notice procedure.
  • Likeness and general complaints: content may be restricted as a precaution during review; where we request documentation from the creator (proof of identity, age, consent or ownership), the content remains suspended until the response is assessed.

4. What a valid report needs, and what we record

A report we can act on fastest contains: your name and email (non-consensual content reports are handled confidentially; anonymous reports are still reviewed), the exact URL of the content, why the content is illegal or violates our policies, and a statement that your report is made in good faith. For notifications under French law (LCEN Art. 6), include where required a copy of the correspondence sent to the author requesting removal.

For every report we record: receipt timestamp, the action taken, and the time to removal. These records feed our published transparency report.

5. If your content was removed: statement of reasons and appeals

Every removal or restriction generates a written statement of reasons to the affected creator, and can be appealed through the appeal form. Appeals are reviewed by a human who was not the original decision-maker, within a stated timeline, with out-of-court dispute settlement available to EU users. An appeal never undoes a report already made to authorities, and evidence-preservation duties are unaffected.
