Cookies & Tracking Policy
Version 1.0 · Effective date: 18/08/2026
Changelog: initial edition, the policy the Privacy Policy references
1. What we use, and why
DROPP uses cookies and similar technologies (localStorage, tokens, pixels) for four purposes: making the platform work (essential), remembering your choices (functional), legally required controls, including the age-verification token, and, only with your consent, measuring how the site is used. We do not use third-party advertising pixels, and we do not sell data collected through cookies. This list is updated before any new technology is added.
2. The table
Strictly necessary, no consent required (exempt under Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act):
| Name | Purpose | Provider | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| NEXT_LOCALE | remembers your language | DROPP (first-party) | 1 year |
| session / authentication cookies | keeps you signed in; secures the session | DROPP (first-party) | session |
| age-verification token | records that this device passed the adult age check; also stores a block flag after an under-18 result | DROPP (first-party) | 12 months |
| consent-choice cookie | remembers what you accepted or refused in the banner | DROPP (first-party) | 6 months |
| payment & fraud-prevention cookies | secure payment processing | Payment partners | transaction |
The age-verification token is a legal-compliance control (it is how we avoid re-checking your identity on every purchase). It stores a random identifier only: no name, no date of birth, no document data, as described in Privacy Policy §3.
Audience measurement, consent required, off until you accept:
| Name | Purpose | Provider | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga, _ga_L9RG30SB5V | Google Analytics 4: visit statistics, page performance | Google (via Google Tag Manager) | 13 months max |
| GTM container (GTM-5LHCMVWX) | loads the measurement tags above, only after consent | — |
Measurement data is retained no longer than 25 months (CNIL guideline). No measurement runs in the purchase, age-verification or account flows; analytics is limited to the public marketing pages.
3. Consent: how the banner works
- On your first visit, nothing non-essential is set until you choose.
- "Refuse all" is one click, on the first layer, as easy as "Accept all". Nothing is pre-ticked.
- You can accept or refuse per purpose; refusing changes nothing about your ability to use DROPP.
- Your choice is remembered for 6 months, after which we ask again.
4. Changing your mind
A permanent "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page reopens the banner at any time; withdrawing consent takes effect immediately and deletes the measurement cookies we set. You can also clear cookies in your browser. Note that clearing the age-verification token means the next adult-content purchase will require verification again.
